About Ms. Fix It

Hi, I'm Lauren

Owner and operator of Ms. Fix It! I’ve spent my life working with my hands, solving problems, and finding satisfaction in making things work better than they did before. What started as helping family and friends with home repairs eventually grew into a career built on craftsmanship, curiosity, and care.

I come from a background rooted in hands-on learning. I grew up watching my dad fix everything around the house, learning early on that with the right tools, patience, and attention to detail, almost anything can be figured out. That mindset followed me into adulthood, where I spent years honing my skills through remodeling, construction work, and hands-on experience across a wide range of trades.

Over time, I realized that what people needed most wasn’t just someone to fix things — it was someone they could trust in their home. Someone who shows up, communicates clearly, respects their space, and takes pride in doing the job right. That realization is what led me to start Ms. Fix It.

Today, I combine technical skill with a thoughtful, approachable approach to home repair. I love helping people feel confident in their homes — whether that means tackling a long-overdue project, making a space more functional, or teaching someone how to maintain and care for their home themselves.

At the heart of it all, I believe home repair should feel empowering, not intimidating. And I’m proud to help make that possible, one project at a time.
